Cleveland Travel

Although its top attraction the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame has an entrance fee, there are plenty of free sights to see in Cleveland.

The Arcade

Built in 1890, The Arcade is a cross between a shop lined street and a lit up court. This architectural wonder and unique shopping experience is now owned by the Hyatt. The two lower of the nine floors are still open to the public for shopping and dining.

Entrance is free.

Euclid Avenue

Euclid Avenue is called Millionaire’s Row for a reason. John D. Rockefeller and other wealthy individuals and families lived along this street. Today, houses from that era still exist on Euclid Avenue which makes it a street to visit.

Lake View Cemetery

Ironically one of the most beautiful places in Cleveland is the cemetery. Highlights include the Wade Chapel with its Tiffany leaded glass window “The Flight Of Souls” and wonderful mosaics, the presidential James A. Garfield monument, the monument for famous law enforcer Eliot Ness, and of course, the monument for John D. Rockefeller. There is even a dam on the premises, the Lake View Cemetery Dam, at the time of building, the largest concrete filled dam east of the Rocky Mountains.

Entrance to the Cemetery is free. This cemetery is still being used today so please be respectful of mourners.
